The Equine Clinical Center of Vairão (CCEV) has as main objectives the practical training of Veterinary Medicine students and the provision of a reference service in the area of internal medicine and equine surgery. The current permanent technical staff of CCEV is made up of three veterinarians, one of whom is a Resident at the European College of Surgery (ECVS®). The CCEV is located on Campus Agrário de Vairão, about 30 km north of Porto, and has a vast area of pasture, fenced with shelters and boxes for horses, logs for examining horses as well as an operating room for horses with cutting edge equipment. Surgeries or appointments will be accepted only by reference of a Veterinarian.
